Why so much hate against the reboot?

I really don't get why there is so much hate for the reboot. I was looking at Tomb raider forums and it seems like a lot of fans hate the reboot a lot. I mean I get that it's different from what most of us are used to, but the reboot games were pretty good and I always had a lot of fun playing them. Shadow was so good for bringing back true underwater gameplay that was started in Rise. I want more classic stuff too, but we're the reboots really that bad?I honest beleive they were great games, especially 2013. Of the three of them 2013 is still my favorite one given the atmosphere and the story.
