I spent the last moments of the beta locked in a brig because I needed a piss break

Told my crew I had to leave for a second, at least 2 voices said ok then when I got back I was locked in the brig and people were bailing out water. I guess I went AFK near the anchor so they though I would get it and when I didn’t (because I wasn’t there) they ran into an inland but of course even after I told them I wasn’t playing (despite having told them before I left) they still wouldn’t let me out so I spent the last 5 minutes locked in a cell.Also I’d like to say I think the brig mechanic in this game is really just abused. I’ve joined several games only to get locked in there as soon as people see me and in a lot of games they lock you in for no reason at all, one time I found a powder barrel on an island and asked the crew if we should take it or leave it, they didn’t even bother to answer and just locked me up and they never let me out either.

Anyone Willing to explain new content to an old Player?

I originally started playing PotCO around the summer after it came out. I had 2 characters i mainly played, one was a lvl 40 with 25 all skills and the other was either in the 30’s or lvl 40 with 20 all skills. (This was before they increased the Notoriety cap and skill cap to 50 and 30 respectively). I quit just after they increased the level cap and never played again. Partly due to my terrible computer at the time.I recently found TLOPO and fell in love, the nostalgia ate me alive.Obviously since this is based off of when the game closed there are 4+ years or so worth of updates that i missed.Back when i played there were only 3 ship types, only 1 weapon type per skill, there was no loot system for weapons, and there was a secret dock everyone was trying to glitch into on Kingshead.My question is, is anyone willing to explain a little on the changes since i last played?What are the differences in the weapon types for each skill?Are the best weapons still quest rewards or are those outdated?And finally what are some unique updates that werent in the original?Id appreciate a response of any kind would help to help this old player find his bearings in the new game.

I tried installing Linux and it bricked my computer.. and EVERY rescue USB boot disk (both Windows and Linux) that I have is corrupted and won't boot up.

I even downloaded like 3 or 4 of them, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Boot Rescue and all of them would freeze in the middle of booting.8 hours later at 2am, I finally got a recovery USB disk to boot after calling Dell's tech support (In my 30 years of using computers, this is the FIRST time I actually had to call tech support to get my computer to boot up again.)

I asked several missionaries how the interviews went and they all told me that as part of the interviews, the mission president asked a long list of HIGHLY detailed questions. The list was from church headquarters and the mission president was REQUIRED to ask them. Additionally, in his October 1974 conference address, N. Eldon Tanner's brow beat bishops and stake presidents into conducting "searching" interviews. This address used to be (and might still be) cited in the D&C institute manual in the section about confession. "Searching" (aka inappropriate) interviews are an unwritten rule in the church. TL:DR Blame the top, not just local leaders, for inappropriate interviews
