Hello. I currently use an AKGK 712 pro and i compared them with the sennheiser 800s in a shop a few months ago. I used a Chord Mojo as a source though i now use a Moon 230HAD headphone amp.Although, as you'd hope for in a headphone 4x it's price, the Sennheiser sounded better, it certainly didn't sound 4x better and i was still happily able to enjoy my akg712 after the audition.However i may be considering dropping a cool K or more on headphones in the next few months, which would primarily be used with the Moon. Has anyone on here compared directly or just heard both the 712's big brother, the 812 with the sennheiser 800s?
