What the heck are they adding to spicy ramen?


Required disclaimer: I eat jalapeños like candy, love habanero peppers and have enjoyed burgers grilled in ghost pepper powder with Carolina reaper mustard and slices of chili’s from both on it.How is it then that I can’t even finish a bowl of 2x spicy ramen, hell even the regular spicy ramen?It’s not even the spicy that gets me, it just seems with every mouthful the noodles get hotter and hotter for no reason.There shouldn’t be any reason I shouldn’t be able to eat a bowl of ramen with a scoville rating of a jalapeño.I’m thinking they have to be adding something to the sauce mix that makes it so unbearable.I’m dreading trying the 4x spicy and ghost pepper spicy ramen.Thoughts? Ideas?
