In the next year I may have an opportunity to pastor a mainline church. They have at face value a lot of issues, women pastors (in the past), board members, and deacons. No belief statement other then the sloppiest statement on baptism saying basically they do it.So I have a few questions. Does anyone know of any resources of people bringing a church into a more historic evangelical position from a mainline? Have any of you run into this? Would you do it?
