Tethers in P3S

I noticed something with the tethers but not sure if i’m right, i want people to tell me if i’m wrong,“”tethers go to the bigger group of players ?؟, so what i do sometimes (as a main tank) i go infront of the ground with the other tank and we would 100% get the tethers first without having to snatch them.And how most of the fight goes is that i stay North and the other tank would be infront of the group so one tether automatically goes to them and i have to go take the other one that would almost always be on a melee.So what i think how these tethers work is in this order: 1- to the bigger group of players 2- to the nearest player to the boss (the one infront of others)(Not sure if this is common sense and i’m just being a dumbass just knowing that)
