June of this year I became really constipated during lockdown and was having a lot of reflux and bloating. Doctor found the buildup on x ray and I had a bowel clean out. Symptoms still didn’t go away. After I eat my stomach feels so heavy and full. I had an insane burning nagging just under my breastbone/solar plexus area. Regurgitating and burping a lot. Had an ultrasound on my gallbladder all good. Had about 5 blood panels all good. ECG all good. Still constipated a lot and have undigested food in stool and occasional haemorrhoid. Finally saw a GI this month who said to take a ppi for 6-8 weeks. I won’t lie it’s really helped the burning in my throat/sternum. But it’s the constipation and fullness after eating that’s really bothering me. Is this at all related to gastritis? I’ve had 3 different doctors tell me that’s what it is. The GI didn’t give me any particular diagnosis and she didn’t seem concerned. The ppi makes the bloating and constipation worse for sure but I just can’t stop my stool being full of undigested food? Even when I’m not constipated I have to strain a lot to go. No amount of fiber or diet change seems to help a lot except being extremely clean with what I eat and even then sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn’t. Anyone else? Or is this more likely an ibs type thing?.
