He's actually a better player now than when he was in Charlotte before. He just finished an excellent G League season, shooting 51/43/88. He looked great. He's healthy. He can penetrate and either finish, pull up with a deadly short range jumper, or kick out. As evidenced by the 43%, he can hit the 3 (not a small sample, he was 25 for 58). He was 7th in the league in ppg and 4th in apg. He was far more efficient than the top scorers with 1.6 points per shot. He plays solid D (Clifford taught him that in Charlotte) , stays between his man and the rim, switches well and takes the charge. He plays intelligently and can run a second unit. In short, he is a solid NBA point guard. But you know all that from his time in Charlotte. All you need to know is he is the same player, except he can now shoot the 3! So why not?
