Committee letter????

I have gotten such an immensely wide range of responses to this question and no one seems to definitively know the answer. If your school offers a committee letter and you have to send individual letters to your committee as part of the process, would med schools care if it doesn’t fall into the conventional “2 science, 1 non-science” categories?I had a non-traditional major and I asked my pre-health advisor (who is also the committee head) if it would be an issue if I had one (or even zero) science professors’ letters sent to the committee and he basically said it was fine and that he would just comment on the science classes I took in college. Would med schools look at that and raise an eyebrow or does it really only matter what the individual committees’ guidelines are? Like if I get the committee letter, are there no ands ifs or buts?I’ve had people tell me that yes, I still need at least 2 science for the committee, I’ve had people say no, the committee has the final say, and I’ve also had people say to air on the side of caution and just send 1 or 2 science letters to the committee regardless. No one seems to have a consistent answer and any insights would be greatly appreciated 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
