My sister's cat Toby is 2 years old, neutered, and about 8-9lbs. Recently she brought to my attention that he has had smelly, yellowish-brown diarrhea on and off for the past 2 weeks. Still has solid bowel movements as well. Reasonably certain it isn't worms, he doesn't take treats/catnip or any table scraps, eats Purina One. Eats and drinks a bit excessively, to the point he over-eats or over-drinks sometimes. I work at a veterinary hospital, and just wanted to hear some opinions before I bothered the Doctors about something that has a simple fix, or something that requires extensive attention/treatment.
