Out for a nice drive today, encountered some noises. 13 crosstrek with just under 70k miles just had an oil change last Monday and has been routinely serviced. Front rotors and pads changed maybe a month or two ago. Driving in a neighborhood, going maybe 15 mph, heard a sudden moan, as if a hydraulic system blew off or something, and then a scraping as the wheel turned. Scraping sounded like brakes. Stopped and checked, rotors looked ok, tire and rim were fine. We turned around to head home and didn’t encounter any other noises for about 6 miles. Stopped at a light and as it turned green we heard what sounded like we were dragging something metal on the blacktop. Lasted about 30 seconds. Could this be the clutch? Car is automatic transmission. I also have been hearing chattering between 1k and 3k rpms.
