
There is no "fix". Take a look at some of the newspapers back in the 17-1800's. https://ift.tt/35c1yjO kind of thing has been going on for a long time. The one thing that can happen.... maybe.... is for these media outlets to at least be honest about what they do, and for the actual people writing and talking about events of the day be honest about their partisanship. I don't recall ever seeing Hannity, for just one example, pretend to be a true impartial "journalist". There are a LOT of people in the media who call themselves 'journalist', but who are in fact just columnists/commentators.The pain comes from them pretending to be non-partisan. The solutions is for us to seek out multiple different partisan perspectives on an issue and to tease out of those writings the non-bias facts that underlay their partisan position on the event. Then we can take the facts and determine for ourselves what we believe. The mass media will hate you for doing this.
