NYU from SUNY Maritime? Advice Please :)

I am a freshman at SUNY Maritime College, and I am looking forward to getting my Bachelor's degree from NYU; I am not trying to transfer this year specifically and can wait a few years. I am enrolled in my school's International Trade and Transportation (B.Sc.) program, and I am looking into graduating from NYU's Stern School of Business. I am making a plan for how to get there during my college years. My high school GPA was 3.0/4, which is pretty godawful. Worse, I failed four classes and had to do summer school, so they appear as "PASS" on my senior year transcript. However, I am confident that I can keep my GPA at 3.8+ with perseverance and dedication, which I had not felt in high school at all, and I am willing to plan my college years in preparation of graduating from NYU no matter what. I genuinely want to be a good student with bright prospects, and I hope it is not too late for that.My SAT Score: 1330/1600I am thinking of either transferring to a more known institution like NYIT first, or directly transferring to NYU from this institution for my junior or senior year in college. My questions:1-) If I maintain a 3.8+ GPA throughout the next 2-3 years, will my high school GPA still be a ruining factor in my chances of admission?2-) Is it smarter to transfer to another school first before applying to NYU, or should I transfer directly from SUNY Maritime College? Obviously, I will have to research credit acceptance, but I am asking this question in relation to simply being admitted to the school or not. My school is pretty much unknown outside of the maritime industry/engineering.3-) Any other advice? (The other thing; I have no extracurriculars at this time and feel so scared!)
