The following is a response from my “sbxw” after I texted her that I thought a guardian ad litem would do more harm (financially) and be disruptive to the kids. As such, we should try and compromise. We currently share approximately 50/50 time with the kids and have done so for 5 months. So my question to the subreddit is: Do you think her lawyer wrote this?I think so. Doesn’t matter either way. But I got a chuckle that it probably cost my sbxw $500 for this response. Her lawyer is going to milk her dry; total bomb thrower.“OP, thank you for your text. Unfortunately, it is you who will not compromise. My positions yesterday with respect to the children WERE compromise positions. I do not believe it to be in the children's best interest to follow the schedule that we offered, however, I was offering that, in an effort to resolve the case. You failed to accept it, and you failed to compromise. Thus, I do fully intend to proceed with the GAL, and hope that he will investigate what is, in fact, in the children's best interest and what has been, in fact, reflective of the history of their lives. You cannot possibly deny that I have been the primary parent, and that I have made solid and reasoned, thoughtful, decisions throughout their lives, about which none of you ever complained. I do hope that we can continue to work cooperatively together for the future best interest of the boys, but again, we will be involving the GAL, unless you change your mind and decide to compromise. Thanks, Sbxw. “.
