
Not asking for hunting purposes. Elephant seals are just big hunks of blubber and I was wondering if a small caliber would penetrate or if you think the blubber would be too hard to penetrate to actually fatally wound the seal.You always see guns being super ineffective in media against big animals like dinosaurs and the like, but that's presumably underestimating the bullet to make it seem like humans are weak against these big, bad monsters. That's basically where the thought process of this question originates; wondering about how tough natural animal "armor" really is against technology.
