Hey guys, I am a 34 Male living in Dallas. I am 6'2 and 250lbs. (slightly obese) Since mid-march I have been eating VERY poorly and sedentary at home.I am a known health anxious person and have had on/off health anxiety for the past 2-3 years.on 9/2 I checked my blood pressure at my brothers house and saw it was 160/98 and I started googling things. The next day I started experiencing shortness of breath. That is the main issue (shortness of breath) and I have had it since 9/4. It seems to be harder to breathe when I am focused on it. When I am being social or on a work call it doesn't seem as bad.I read on google about shortness of breath is a sign of Pulmonary Hypertension. I started reading about it more and it scared me.Before getting an appt for my Echo and Stress test my GP did an EKG and it came back normal... she also did a blood clot test which came back negative. After that I went to a cardiologist who did a 2nd EKG which came back normal. He listened in on my lungs/heart/arteries and said everything sounds fine. He told me he is confident nothing will come from the Echo but he still has to do it to rule out anything related to the Echo.I ask this now; is the symptom of shortness of breath (hard to inhale and always out of breath) while sitting and doing nothing a possible sign of PH or could this be anxiety or something else? I am very scared and counting down the days to get the Echo done and pray nothing is wrong.Thank you all and I wish everyone with PH the best of luck. Thank you!
