I spent weeks trying to convince him to watch it, but he never would until I finally wore him down recently and said he would. I decided to watch it with him to make sure he did, and to also explain lore and stuff to him.He told me he didn't enjoy it at the beginning, even though we were laughing our heads off at stuff I missed before, or just the classic hilarious stuff.I knew he was lying. ๐And now? Well, it's 1am. We've just finished 'Somewhere in the Woods' and we are sitting in his room, in the dark, just silently crying. We laughed at Waddles' antics throughout because he reminds us of my puppy, Louie because he does crazy things too ๐So, when Mabel tried to leave him behind, that hit us like a truck. To quote another of my favourite shows, Doctor Who: "This song is ending... but the story never ends"In simple terms, our journey with Dipper and Mabel may be over, but theirs is just beginning and hopefully, it can also mean that whilst we've now watched the show all the way through (a few times in my case!), we can always rewatch it!He was sobbing silently through the credits: "Season three. They have to make one... Please".It breaks my heart wide open... But to know I was able to get him to open himself up to this amazing world I stumbled upon only a few months ago, feels great. Now we share each other's pain and experiences from Gravity Falls, and we are all the stronger for it. Just like our Mystery Twins!Goodnight/Early/Good Morning(?) all!
