According to their policies, Etsy prohibits the sale of listings that exploit recent tragedies, including (but not limited to) recent disease and viral outbreaks. Unfortunately Etsy is not enforcing this. Etsy currently has thousands of t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, cards, and other items available for sale which seek to profit from the global health pandemic. Some items are relatively benign referring to social distancing and quarantine humor, while others are evil celebrating “coronavirus survivors”. We need to send a strong message to Etsy and its sellers that these products are inappropriate in a time when millions of families are affected.Please join us in reporting these products to Etsy for removal. Search almost any COVID-19 related term like “quarantine” and you will find them. At the bottom of the product page click the Report To Etsy link, select the prohibited item box, and then add a comment. You can copy & paste this scripted option to make it easier:Etsy prohibits the sale of listings that exploit recent tragedies, including (but not limited to) recent disease and viral outbreaks.After submission, Etsy's Marketplace Integrity team will remove the items and send a message to the shop owner to remove all other items.
