How do you manage to do stand up along with your day job

I recently started doing stand up and despite all the hardships of it I'm really enjoying it. But recently I've been finding it hard to manage with my day job. Which it's not something that I enjoy doing but the paycheck is great and it allows me to not worry about finances. The main problem is that I'm so drained after a long day at work that I don't have the capacity to use my brain and be creative and I'm also too tired to perform. Any tips from some fellow comedians on how to bring and maintain a balance between your job and your 2nd dream career? I really value stand up comedy and I can't afford to quit my day job or go part time. Cheers folks!
