Recycling in the world-class city of Calgary

I noticed a piece of paper hanging from my recycle bin this morning. It seems a loose (and empty) plastic bag had mistakenly made it's way into my recycling bin.According to: https://ift.tt/2OCUDJC it seems that plastic bags can indeed be recycled but only if they are bundled inside another (tied shut) plastic bag.What do I do if I only have a single plastic bag to recycle? Do I tie it shut or do I have to hold onto it until I have another plastic bag to put inside it (and then tie shut)?Calgary: hardly a world-class city.
