I hate saying 'hey', even to family members.

Very recently we had some family members come over for dinner. My mum decided to push me to say 'hey' to them. Because of my anxiety, I always feel like I'm being judged because of the way they say 'hey' back, so I usually don't say hey. My mum was having none of it, thinking oh they're just family members, what are they gonna do... They all wonder why I'm so quiet around everyone...Picture this: your family members having a nice chit chat about something that came up. They're all having a good time and laughing. Then you come along and say 'hey'. All of a sudden the mood changes almost instantly and they say 'hey' in like a walking past someone kind of 'hey'.I'm sorry, I just needed to get this off my chest and to see if I'm not the only one.
