[Lgpe] nearly ready to give up my shiny hunt for Geodude

I've been hunting for around 15 hours total now.Racked up a chain of 300, only by catching pokemon that have walked into me after 31x combo.Have burned through around 20 lures in totalI'm getting fed up. I'm bored of seeing the insides of this cave...I need some support, or advice, to keep me going...Guys please motivate me :(
