Working on a character spreadsheet and.... Kana is a bit of a problem.

So I'm working on a spreadsheet that contains information about the stat growths of every single characters in the game with the data for all 56 potential stat configurations for the Avatar and all of the possible inherited stat growths for the children from the avatar and the other parents and data for all of the characters in every one of the advanced classes that is available to each one of them. So I spent a few hours and managed to get through the avatar, all of the parents, and the children who are available in both birthright and conquest (Shigure, Dwyer, Sophie, and Midori). I figured I need to go to bed soon, but I'm not too tired so I thought it would be fun to see how many entries I would have to do for Kana. If I did my math right there are 17,136 different possible combinations for Kana. All of the other units only make up 1,482 entries. Kana brings that number up past 18,000! But of course 1,482 was already a huge number because there are 32 advanced classes (gendered and unique classes accounted for), so with all of the units times all of the classes plus additional entries for songstress, nine-tails, and wolfseggners I would have to write 562,487!!! different entries to cover all possibilities! Without Kana that number would only be 47,563. That's still a lot, but Kana single-handedly raises the number of entries by approximately 12 times! So anyway, I think I'll probably set up all the base stats for the different children (NOT including Kana) and then the base stats for each class then make the spreadsheet public so people can edit it with whatever combinations they're interested in. I'll just have to keep a backup offline in case anybody tries to screw it up on purpose. Or maybe people can just look at a PDF and send me information to add to it. That would be more secure. It's 3 in the morning. I have class at 11:40. I need to get to sleep...
