Too much talk about how Melo hurts OKC's offense. Melo just cannot play any PF defense that is required, especially in WCF. He played 70% of his career at SF. 90% at PF for OKC.

The crap r/NBA posts about how Melo sucks and how he only plays iso-ball is overblown. For any avid Thunder fans, clearly his defense is terrible for a PF. He's slow, he doesn't take charges, he can't block shots, and when OKC runs a switch everything defense, Adams sometimes has to switch onto the guard, leaving Melo to defend the f'ing paint. This crap has been so annoying. Jerami Grant led the league in charges per 48 because he knows how to defend the paint and is an awesome PF on defense.Melo's defense is cancerous. At least when he plays at SF, he's not responsible for defending the paint if Adams is forced to switch onto a guard. Melo's defense can hide a bit when he plays SF, so a guard can dance on him and shoot a jumper. But if the guard blows by Melo and if he is playing SF, then at least Adams or the PF can defend the paint.Based on my observation, alot of this is Billy's fault. Hell, if he wanted to play Melo, he should've replaced Brewer with Grant. OKC will get beat up on defense if Melo stays at PF. Unless, obviously if Roberson is back who actually plays more like PF on defense as the backup paint defender if Adams is on the perimeter.
