Is this weird?(new job)So at my new job as a server ;my restaurant (which is not a chain restaurant I mind you) Has been asking me to bring my own bank, which means I use my own money from my own pocket to help give change to our guests when they're paying the restaurant.i dont feel I don't feel comfortable doing this . my boss and many other co-workers said I should bring (from my own pocket, not the money I make there )at least $40 in change to use during service.when I asked why do we do that, all they said "this is just the way we do things here "and I just want to know is this normal?
