If you're writing more than one book, can you self-publish some while seek traditional publishing for others?

Dear Reddit,Excuse me if I'm posting this in the wrong Sub-Reddit, I'm quite new here as an active user. I've searched online for answers but couldn't find any. Allow me to clarify my question. I've finished writing a novel (Took me nearly 3 years of work), and I'm determined on going the traditional way and finding a literary agent for it. While on the hunt for an agent for the novel, I'm also writing several other books. One is a collection of short stories, one is a poetry book, and one is an illustration book. I have a decent platform on social media to advertise for my self-published work.Is it wise, or possible, to self-publish those books while going with traditional publishing with my novel?Thank you.
