My theory is that Tannis is a siren. When Wilhelm tortured her, she healed very quickly. She has very conservative attire, possibly hiding her siren tattoos. When she talks about ceiling chairs, she was hung upside down during the torture. Her odd act is a combination of autism, eridium addiction, and PTSD. The only reason Handsome Jack released her was because he wanted her to infiltrate the Crimson Raiders. In the next game she could go power-hungry and turn villain so she can gain knowledge of the Vault, therefore increasing her power thousandfold.
