We're a school, with no extra budget for expensive licensing, and getting deals outside the US can be quite tricky.I'm using the free version of ESXi to play around with, but i can't use that vSphere server thing, which seems to limit it quite a bit (and the web interface is super clunky). We do have a "full" Microsoft agreement, so we can use pretty much all their software, including Hyper-V - but it seems very tied down to the OS, what if in a couple of years you want to update? And managing it seems clunky too.Proxmox seems to be the other popular alternative, but i'm not sure on how "stable" it would be running what is essentially a small office.
