This is my take on a 2017 budget gaming setup for you, or anybody on your nice list! Coming in at about 680 USD this includes a monitor, keyboard/mouse combo, and (of course) a crispy PC. Rocking a 1050ti and an AMD ryzen 3, this red devil of a PC will handle nearly any game you can think of on high at 1080p. Keep in mind an SSD was not included because a friend of mine gifted me one. Anyway I️ just thought anybody interested in a budget setup might enjoy this.
