So I have a bit of drama going on with my old job.I started my first Security job with Command in September. I was mainly training and didn't get a main site yet. Kind of bounced around for awhile. Then I started staying at this satellite company for a few weeks. One day the scheduling manager (who I will call Jane, not real name) asked if I would like to temporarily work for the headquarters for the current site I was watching. It was a couple cities further and I would be paid 17$ (Was only at 15 at the time) I said yes and she stressed it would be a great opportunity.I started there and after a couple days the manager at that site (who i will call jim, again not real name) said they were low on help and need someone permanent. I offered that I wouldn't mind staying. Since the starting pay was 17.5 and I was only at 15 since the 17 was only while I was here. Plus you get paid more depending on your shift. So I would get 19.25 and he offers 12 hours of overtime per week.I texted Jane about that I had spoken with Jim about staying. She got very upset that I 'went behind her back and spoke to the client before her'. Which caught me off guard since she herself told me this would be a great opportunity. I apologized and said it was something we were discussing and that I needed to bring it up with her. She said we would talk about it later as she was training that day. She never did bring it up.So a week later Jim said everything is getting started for me to stay and I could be permanent the next week and I should let Jane know. I honestly was nervous because of that issue before and I didn't want anymore drama, so I do admit I held off. The weekend came which was 3 days before I would permanently start. Jane texts me asking for my hours this week. I let her know that I would only be there for 2 days and that would be my last day.I apologized profusely for the late notice. She got very upset. Bringing up how she gave me so many opportunities in this job, implying she didn't have to. She was acting exactly like why I didn't want to tell her. She took me leaving as a personal attack. So the day comes and she texts me to bring my old uniform in. I go in and I greet her politely. She is going over her list to make sure I brought everything. Then another man steps in who I haven't met before, but that I know is one of the ones in charge. He gets very aggressive about the situation. Asking if its normal for someone to give 3 days advance. I again apologized and acknowledged it was not professional but that I needed to take this opportunity. He asked me why I would be taking a pay cut with this new job, which confused me. As for that site with Command I was only at 17 (Not to mention I'd be 15 once I went back to my original site) And now I was at 17.50 and 19.25 if I work Swing. He says no we were paying you 18. Jane decides to just NOW say "Oh I know I told you 17 but we decided to be nice and give you 18." Which I thought was real fucking convenient to bring up now. Then he goes on about how Jane put so much work in for me. Like what doing her fucking job? And she brings up "Yea we took a chance on you being new to Security and all." And the guy ended with "Don't put us as a reference."They were just really being disrespectful and going for low blows. They took me leaving as a personal attack. Do they not understand people get opportunities and they take them? I fully acknowledged I was unprofessional for the late notice. But I highly doubt I was the first to do that, I didn't say that though. I was too furious to show any real emotion.Anyway I ended up forgetting my shirt and badge. They said to bring it the following monday. Which I did. I gave it to the guy who was going off on me before. This time he was actually very courteous and wished me luck on my new job.Anyway that was about 2 weeks ago. I just got an email from the hiring lady there. Saying that my badge and shirt was not returned. Which is bull because I did and handed it to the guy. He was on the phone but still personally talked to me.I am nervous its going to be a sketchy situation and they are going to lie about the fact I never turned it in to punish me. I will see her response tomorrow.I am just so frustrated with their lack of professionalism. I know what I did was wrong, but come on people do that all the time and many people just up and leave.
