This thread will serve as the hub for new developments in r/freeuse.Old announcements will still be here, while new ones will be dated and edited to the top. This saves us from making multiple threads whenever there is something new we want to talk about, and provides an easy resource for newcomers to access. You can see our traffic stats page here. To celebrate, we've add a new filtering method so you don't have to see the types of posts you don't like. They work by replacing the www part of the reddit url with one of the followig prefixes. They cannot be combined, but we feel we have provided enough options.cf - Caption Free co - Caption Only vf - Video Free vo - Video Only gf - Gif Free go - Gif Only sf - Story Free so - Story Only Links have been added to the sidebarTumblr ban, submission rules, new mods9/24/2016In the past weeks there's been an influx of malicious links and low effort promotions linking to tumblr. After some discussion, we've decided to ban all links to tumblr if they do not come from an approved poster or are not manually approved by someone in the mod team.To be able to post to tumblr, you will have to message us once you make your post. After we add you to the approved list, posts to tumblr from your account will be ignored by the automod. Abuse of this system, I.e. linking to spam or violating submission rules after being approved will result in a ban.On that note, I'd like to remind everyone that this is not a general porn Reddit, but it is specific to free use, and as such content not free-use in nature will be removed. We have seen a couple underage videos posted, and any such posts- and potentially the associated accounts- will be removed and banned ASAP, respectively.Added suspected spam ring sites to the blacklist. Such sites have been seen increasingly often over the course of the past weeks, and come from similar domains, usually posted by a new account.The standard spam filter before didn't catch accounts older than 24 hours, and the necessary account age to post has been increased to 48 hours.Video flairs still have to be manually edited to contain the length/video quality, so we've removed the previous '?' that were cluttering the flairs. I will still add in the length and quality as I see the posts. (quick reminder: 'quality' is purely based on video resolution, not content).Basic automod implemented1/8/2016In the following week or two it is my hope that the new automod will automate most mod jobs, such as removing spam and tagging content.If you see a tag that is incorrect or a video tag with '?' for runtime and quality, it is the work of the automod and I will do my best to manually fix/alter these errors.New mods, zero tolerance policy11/22/2017Due to user complaints regarding the quality and relevance of posts, we have accepted 3 new mods, doubling our current number of active moderators.Already, I can see that these good souls are pulling weight and are contributing to the community in a meaningful way, and more power to them!That being said, there is no excuse for positing deliberately non-freeuse content to this sub, especially in light of prior announcements and the existence of a sidebar. Moving forward, individual moderators will be allowed to have zero tolerance for non-freeuse posts. With the bevy of information regarding freeuse available to any who seek it, it is my belief that there is no excuse for posting fetish-irrelevant content.If you feel you were wrongly banned, message us, and we will consider your case.Hopefully these policies will result in submissions better suited to the interests of the community.Flairs introduced1/6/2016Flairs became a thing!
