Apple Trees and Applewood Smoking

A common suggestion is adding apple trees to Minecraft and having apple trees drop apples instead of oak trees because oak trees don't naturally give apples.But something that should be added to that should be wood smoking. You should be able to use the wood from an apple tree to smoke meats in a smoker, the smoker would have another input box to put in the wood, preferably to the left of the food input box with a plus sign in between (similar to an anvil).Smoking will only be allowed on meats. Smoking will give you smoked meats, obviously, but the smoked meats will now give you a larger amount of hunger points.Apple trees would have a smaller spawn rate so they wouldn't be overpowered.
